2026 21 Day Fast
(January 5th - January 25th)
“GREATER FAITH, GREATER FOCUS, GREATER LIFE”
Fasting Instructions
Definition: Fasting means to abstain from food for a spiritual purpose. Fasting is not just staying away from food or just for a specific day. Fasting brings one into a deeper, more intimate and powerful relationship with the Lord. Fasting does two things. It reveals how much the flesh has taken over, and breaks the hold of the flesh. Look at these 21 days as a time that your spiritual relationship with God through Jesus Christ increases into a more intimate and powerful connection. It is very important that you monitor how much time you will spend on TV, social fellowship, music, what you eat, what you do for entertainment, and where you go with God. Our motive for fasting should always be unto God. Not for show or for self gratification. Fasting should bring revival and strength in our homes, to our families, in our churches, to our beloved nation, in our personal life and throughout the world. Fasting without prayer makes fasting ineffective. Fasting Instructions “Fasting without prayer is just a Hunger Strike” No meats means NOTHING that flies, swims, walks or crawls. NO cakes, NO cookies, NO bread (unless all wheat), NO sodas, NO coffee (unless decaf) NO Kool-aid, NO syrup on pancakes or toast (unless sugar free). NO presweetened cereals or Jell-O. You can eat all vegetables fresh or frozen, fresh fruit, 100% juice, rice, oatmeal, pasta (oodles n noodles) and cheese is accepted. Also, added is potatoe chips, any kind of nuts, eggs, and peanut butter. Any substance that is grown in the garden or on a tree environment is considered eatable. Drink plenty of water. With the exception of individuals who are pregnant, have diabetes, hypertension, children and toddlers, and those who are required to eat one or more meals per day, everyone is able to fast at this level. If you are pregnant, please remember to have at least three servings of protein each day. Think of pasta as a main course, or tortillas, or potatoes. You, who have been struggling with weight, may find your deliverance during this time. If you are on medication, continue it as directed. "Moreover when you fast, be not, as the hypocrites, of a sad countenance: for they disfigure their faces, that they may appear to men to fast. Verily I say to you, They have their reward. But you, when you fast, anoint your head, and wash your face; That you appear not to men to fast, but to your Father which is in secret: and your Father, which sees in secret, shall reward you openly."
